When I became a work-at-home mom, I seldom leave our house. People from our neighborhood will only see me whenever I do some bank errands, go to my kids’ school, goes out for a family date on weekends, and in some cases if I decided to finally go out with my few trusted girlfriends. So in those rare moments that they would see me finally out in my cave, people would often ask me how I actually earn online.
I had my own custom domain name renewed (www.mdelacena.com) for the 2nd time. The set up was very the same from the first time I had it renewed. Acquiring my own domain was the best decision I ever made for this blog. Although I am not a very active mom blogger, unlike those who host a lot of give away, join give away and online contest, and attend blogging events—this blog opened gates to my “freelance writing career” (naks!)
So far, I am thankful with the blessings that are coming my way, especially with having clients that are truly understanding and generous not just with my salary but from sharing valuable tips on how I can further improve my craft.
That five-day family vacation is still taking its toll on me. While I made it a point to inform my clients about my recent vacation and finished what needs to be done for that week before I left, I still got a piled-up tasks when I came back. I am not complaining though because I really feel blessed of having this kind of online job. My clients give me regular tasks every week that I need to accomplish.
Hello! My family and I were back from our vacation last Friday afternoon. We slept after we had our lunch and woke up at 5pm. We all felt energized after that and I even thought I could go back to work that night. But after we had our dinner and I laid beside the kids to put them to sleep, my eyes went heavy again and dozed off to sleep with them! Oh well, another night of absence from my work would not be that bad since I have my clients’ approval of my five days vacation.
I hated Mondays then.. can’t wait for Fridays and looked forward to Saturdays and Sundays.
It went every week of every month for years of me being a work-out of home mom (WOHM).
At night, as I put my kids to sleep, I would think of things I should do in the morning before they wake up. I would love to prepare a sumptuous breakfast for hubby and me to keep us going through our day in the office. Like, eggs and bacon with rice or I would toast a loaf to partner with it along with a cup of coffee or juice. My kids just love cereals for breakfast so I had no problem with that.
