My three kids had been yanking their Dad to go to SM Taytay two weekends in a row. Hubby could have grant their request but the weather won’t allow us. Unfortunately, downpour happens during weekends particularly on Sundays. I know that’s the biggest downside of not owning a family car. (I actually have personal reasons why I discourage my husband from buying one.)
Rainy Sunday Get up
But since hubby promised the night before, that rain or shine we would eat out, he cannot take his words back when our kids woke him up early on a rainy Sunday morning. After we had our breakfast, our kids chose their clothes to wear and told me to iron them fast so their Dad wouldn’t change his mind.
It is a five minute walk from our house to SM Multicab Terminal so hubby said he will just ask the driver to come inside our compound and pick us up straight from our doorstep. We usually do that when we travel back home from SM. Since my second daughter still have phobia from riding in taxis, we always rent SM service multicab only for ourselves to bring us home. Of course, hubby would have to pay for the total number of supposed to be passengers plus additional charge
We arrived past 10am, too early for lunch so we strolled around first and looked for my daughter’s rainy boots. Unfortunately, there was no available size for her. Hubby bought new socks and a belt for our son. Original plan was only to eat out and our kids perfectly understand that so they did not complained when we bought nothing but important stuff only. My son tried to ask his Dad if they could drop by at Odyssey to look for a Harry Potter Deathly Hallows I either in CD or DVD but hubby refused and told him he would look for it at Gateway Mall when he go home from work on Monday.

We had lunch at Chicken Inasal Bacolod (review will be posted on my other blog). We got really hungry by that time and we were surprised that we actually finished our order without leftover! After that, hubby asked the kids if they want to have some ice cream at Dairy Queen and they said YES! That wrapped up our rainy lunch out. We were home around 1pm just in time for our siesta.
Ice Cream, anyone?
