It has been two months since the Summer season started and now that it is about to end I got the feeling that I should fill you in with what happened to my family and I during those days. And with no further ado, here’s the highlights of our Summer 2014: Read More
My, my– look at how time flies, it’s December! And of course, here comes my monthly roundup post ^-^
Let’s see, my November was–
A busy yet productive month
I had my hands full with online tasks and I am grateful for those. Pardon me for some off topic posts you read on this blog, this Mommy just needed those extra online gigs in lieu with the upcoming Holiday Season^-^ Hubby had also started a new hobby that is good for his health and so me and the kids tag along with him too. We also enjoyed more family time by eating out or simply sitting together in front of the television.
I don’t know if I’ve been a real slacker this month or I was just not that tough enough to brave those tiring days that passed.
My two kids had their periodical exams this month one week after the other. It was favorable on my part because at least I gave each one of them the needed time and attention for their reviews. My only dilemma was the little one— she joined in all our review sessions and she distracted her siblings! She wanted the same books her brother was reading or the crayons her sister was using. Those days were stressful and I ended up too lazy to stay up at night to finish my online tasks or even to blog. On the brighter side, my daughter did well on her exams and she garnered a whooping average score of 94.8%. Her brother’s test result is yet to be released as it is already their semestral break.
At first I was relieved that sembreak had already started. First thing that came into my mind was that I will not be obliged to wake up so early to prepare my kids for school. But when I have all my kids at home—playing, horsing around that often leads to simultaneous crying, I silently wish that sembreak is over! Anyhow, hubby understands my dilemma and he was considerate enough to go home much early these days and sometimes, if he thinks his transactions can be closed or dealt with via phone, he would stay at home.
Halloween Costume Party
It was just my daughter who had a Halloween Party at school. She was supposed to go as a witch but we couldn’t find a witch’s hat fit for her head instead we found a pumpkin headband. Then I dressed her with an all black ballet outfit. It was an improvised costume at first but after I saw her all dressed up and all, I remembered it was inspired from the “Black Swan”. She looked great that day and she had fun especially with the Jollibee books she won during the games.
Mommy Group and an Event Invites Plus an Award
I was elated when Mommy Nova of The Family Woman invited me to join Active Mommy Bloggers. It was a pleasure to be with the group as I love meeting new friends especially fellow moms online. I was yet to explore the site but I’m sure it would be exciting to interact with these great mommies. I also got an e-mail inviting me to a Baby Carnival: A Pre-Christmas Bazaar by Online Mommy Sellers to be held at the Parkside of Filipinas Heritage Library on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 4pm to 10pm. Entrance fee is to be charged to finance a toy / book drive and collect gifts for White Cross Orphanage in San Juan and for the National Children’s Hospital in Quezon.
Booths are offered exclusively to online mommies and daddies selling brand new and pre-loved baby items at low prices. It aims to be a venue for crafters and work-at-home parents to network, meet other sellers and offer their products with the lowest-cost rent for higher returns.
There are over 25 concessionaires joining the event with items ranging from pre-loved clothes and toys to brand new items like breastfeeding covers, cloth and disposable diapers, books, feeding bottles, hair accessories and more. Service providers such as photo studio for babies and event styling providers will be exhibiting. There will also be food concessionaires where snacks, meals and drinks can be bought. The event will also feature activity booths such as face painting, balloon darts, costume fitting and photo booth and free cotton candy for kids.
The best thing about this event is that I could come for FREE in exchange for posting about this event. However, as much I love to come, the venue is a bit far away from my place but I’m still blogging about it:)
Oh, and since I was too lazy to blog these days, I almost forgot about Coffee with Kim’s award for me. Yep, Kim passed a Liebster Award for me but I haven’t done my part yet so I’m going to blog about it this November.
Early Christmas Decorations
And we finally completed our Christmas decorations! We’ve put on some decors as early as September but we completed the lights just this month. Everyday our kids would ask how many days there are before Christmas:)
And that’s how my October went. I’m looking forward for November as it will be my son’s 7th birthday on the 3rd. Plans were already made and he and his siblings can’t wait for that day (or days?)
I’m sure most of you mommies, daddies and kids will be ending October with Halloween Parties so enjoy and have fun! My little one will not be going to any Halloween Party but she tried on her sissy’s costume and look how cute she is:
Oh my poor blog! It’s exactly a month since I last posted on you and this monthly round up post had been long over due. My bad! But no need to reason why as it may seem like another excuse. So with no further ado, allow me to round up my month of June:
Cien’s 3rd Birthday
I believed this is where I left you behind, what happened on my youngest 3rd birthday? Well, as I said here, we celebrated it in Club Manila East and it was different from our previous stay at the resort. We got to enjoy their wave pool that time as well as tried their kayak, with two of my brothers and hubby’s friend and his son. We usually spent time on the kiddie pool but since we have more companions that time, we explored the place. I was not in the mood to go swimming on our first day so I manned the camera the entire time. On our second day, it was raining and since the long weekend was over (June 12 was a Holiday) the resort seemed gloomy. Our check-out time was 11:30 am and so we just let the kids spent the remaining time in the bath tub while hubby and I watched the NBA finals inside the room. I bet you noticed how I am running out of words here, trying to remember what else happened on that day (the disadvantage of late posting) so I’ll just share with you few of our photos during Cien’s 3rd birthday.
Father’s Day 2012
As usual, we didn’t went that far since we only intend to have lunch on that special day for hubby. We went to SM a little late so instead of finding a nice table at Savory or Max’s, we ended up in Pizza Hut. Lunch was served with a little boo-boo. My mom didn’t got what she ordered because hubby told the waiter a different meal. Since it would take a couple more minutes to have what she wanted, she settled for what’s served instead. We had a couple of photo opps while having lunch and on those car display. Again, pictures can tell a thousand words so I’m sharing them again.
First Days of School
This was the start of my chaotic days which I know most moms with studying kids can relate. Preparation of their school uniforms, snacks and school things are just few stressful tasks that I deal with every day since school days started. Luckily, unlike some students who cried on their first days of school, my kids handled it very well. My son’s first day in big school as 1st grader was awesome based on his stories when he got home. He already got a new friend named Ian and he said they have been inseparable since they became seatmates. My daughter on the other hand loves her new school, classmates and teachers as well. She was as talkative as his brother when she arrived home and couldn’t wait to go to school the following days.
There had been two consecutive birthday parties that me and my kids attended to last June. First was their cousin’s 7th birthday held at Jollibee Ever Ortigas. It was a fun party since a lot of kids came despite of the unpredictable weather. Since my cousin, who is the celebrant’s mom is an inborn talkative and PR friendly (lol!) she made the party more fun by nagging her co-workers to join in the games and almost co-hosting with Jollibee’s staff. My kids enjoyed and had fun especially when they got up close and personal with Jollibee and Hetty Spaghetti (the fastfood’s mascots). The celebrant and my kids also performed two special dance and I am one proud mom to see my three kids dancing without getting shy. My youngest was also caught in the limelight with her “Moves Like Jagger” moves, too bad their Daddy didn’t saw it and I, out of excitement forgot to capture it in video. Prizes and loot bags were very much appreciated by my two girls since the birthday theme was Barbie.
Few days after, another birthday invite came in and it was for my hubby’s godchild’s 1st birthday held at McDonalds SM Taytay. There were only limited people invited but it went well and fun too. The celebrant was beaming with cuteness on her special day. As for my kids, well, they had been energetic and blended with other people without reservation again. So much PR they got from my hubby (lol!)
The Arrival of our Twins
My SIL finally gave birth last June 20 and yes, they are twins! I guess the arrival of my two identical nieces was the highlight of the month. My three kids especially my youngest daughter were so excited to see their new cousins. During their first days, you could hardly recognize who is who, but as days passed by, we got used to their own identities and just by merely looking at their cheeks and nose, we know who is Sheye and who is Shyre (yep, those are their names). Cuteness overload when you scroll down:
Well, this one is quite a long post but I hope you did enjoy reading it (provided you came this far). I am looking forward for more blog hopping these days so don’t hesitate to leave your comments as I will surely visit back your online abodes the soonest.
